Cookie policy

The short version: this site uses only what it needs to work, and it never tracks you without asking. The banner offers a genuine choice: essential cookies always work, and optional advertising-measurement cookies (for example Google Ads conversion cookies, if a campaign is running) are set only if you choose “Accept all”.

What this site stores, and why

The welcome animation flag. When you first arrive, a small flag is saved in your browser's session storage so the intro animation doesn't replay on every page. It disappears when you close the tab.

The banner dismissal. Whichever button you press on the cookie banner, your choice is stored so we stop asking. Yes, the cookie notice needs a cookie-like flag to be polite. We appreciate the irony.

Portal sign-in. If you are a student and sign in to the portal, tokens are stored so you stay signed in. These exist only for signed-in students and are deleted when you sign out.

Cloudflare security cookies. The network that protects this site sets a short-lived cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell humans from abusive bots. It is strictly a security measure, expires within about 30 minutes, and identifies your browser session, not you.

Stripe, during payment. If you buy lessons, the payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page, where Stripe sets cookies for fraud prevention under its own policy. Nothing Stripe-related is set while you simply browse this site.

Optional cookies (only with your consent)

If you press “Accept all”, advertising-measurement cookies may be set (such as Google Ads conversion cookies) so that ad campaigns can tell whether they work. Choosing “Essential only” keeps all of that off, and the site works identically either way. You can change your mind by clearing this site's storage in your browser, which brings the banner back.

What this site does not do

No analytics or statistics trackers. No social media pixels. No fingerprinting. And unless you have expressly allowed it, no advertising cookies either - nothing here follows you around the internet.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block storage for this site in your browser's settings at any time. The only consequences: the welcome animation may replay, the notice banner will reappear, and portal students will need to sign in again.
